The foundation

Matthew 7:24-27:

24-25 “These words I speak to you are not incidental additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundational words, words to build a life on. If you work these words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock. Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit—but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock.

26-27 “But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don’t work them into your life, you are like a stupid carpenter who built his house on the sandy beach. When a storm rolled in and the waves came up, it collapsed like a house of cards.”

You know that dream that is there, still vivid in living color, right when you first wake up? Well, this morning I awoke to, “I will huff and I will puff and I will blow your house in!”

The first thing I did was ask God, “did dreaming about the three little pigs story have any significance that I need to pay attention to or was it something I ate?”

What came to mind was, “what is your foundation?”

Like many, I feel these past several weeks have been a roller coaster ride of emotions. We have been forced to participate in a bad movie with a script that has unbelievable scenarios and fictitious plot twists; a drama so bad that it would be a dark comedy if it didn’t involve the future of a nation. Every day we wanted to rewrite the script, to edit, to delete, but it fell on deaf ears. It was as if “We the People” didn’t exist.

Some of us dealt with this battle by running against the wind and organizing a new camp. Still others, like myself, stood our ground withstanding all the daily debris that included mockery of our Christian faith.

Trump supporters think that God “sides” with them, answers their prayers and not ours. With the naked eye it does appear that way. But, with the hidden Spirit the truth is absolute.

The foundation of the Republican party is as cracked as my carport from the four year drought. The house has been blown down by the demonic wind, the straw men have been scattered. The party may not be dead, but it is not my party anymore. I will not disown my friends that want to stay there, we have a history. They will hold their nose and vote for Trump and learn on their own (or not) that this formula is a failed pattern. The Trump Republicans are being deceived.

The beginning of God’s judgment starts in the house of the Lord. Each Christian Republican stands on his own. Just like the democrats that will try and justify their liberal stance with, “but we feed the hungry.”

I didn’t join every Cruz group that was offered because there were so many that just recycled the same articles and poster thoughts. I am in one only, “Cruz To The Win, Never Trump”.  I hesitated to join the new Conservative movement because Cruz, Lee and a few others are still in the Republican party. But the foundation is shaking, and they will need a firm foundation to stand on which will be built by “We the People” with God as the foundation, layered with the Constitution and moral compass that our Fathers envisioned for this nation.

I trust this site and those who run it. This is where I will plant myself. These are exciting times.

The wolf can huff and puff until he turns blue.
