How YOU can help prove conservatism isn't dead

As some of you may have noticed, we’ve been very limited in the amount of new content we’ve been posting this week. I’ve been working on bumping up revenues so we can afford to hire editors, writers, and cover the expenses necessary to keep the site vibrant and growing. This effort has had me on the phone and emailing people non-stop every day this week.

Starting Sunday, I’ll be back to the normal level of posts and aggregator updates. My week of seeking the revenue necessary to expand the site has set things in motion, but there’s no guarantee for success. What I’ve been working on is a long-term plan. In the meantime, we have so many short-term needs and I’m asking for your help.

A couple of months ago, we launched a GoFundMe to help cover the costs. The first week or so, the results were stellar. I’ve never asked people for money before even for such an important cause as promoting conservative values and spreading the right messages that Americans need to hear. I was so thankful to all of you who contributed.

Then, it stopped. The nice drip of revenue that I was hoping would turn into a full pouring of money dried up completely. Just as we ramped up content production and started interviewing editors and writers, the contributions stopped completely. I’m thankful that I didn’t hire anyone at the time because I wouldn’t be able to afford them today.

This is why I need help. I’m not good at generating money for websites and I’m even worse at asking people to contribute. Still, I must try both and hope that I don’t continue to fail. This site has the potential to influence people and policies. With so many sites out there influencing people and policies in the wrong direction, I feel justified in asking for help to make this site take off even more than it already has in its first year.

Please take a moment to do two things. First, contribute whatever is comfortable within your budget to our cause. We are not an exempt institution so you won’t get tax benefits from doing so. We’re asking you to contribute because you believe in promoting smaller government principles, defending freedoms, and fighting the cultural and political leftward lurch that is putting our nation at risk. Our battle is to keep conservatism alive and well. You can help us to prove conservatism isn’t dead despite claims to the contrary.

The second thing that would help is to share this post or any other portions of the site that you like. Tell friends. Email it. Share it on social media. Please help us get the word out that there’s a conservative website that’s going to make an impact and needs help in making it happen more quickly.

If you couldn’t tell by this post, asking for help is not my best skill. It’s uncomfortable for me and you’re likely feeling uncomfortable just by reading it. I get it and I’m sorry for that, but we really need the help. America needs the help. Will you?
